Missions Committee Purpose Statement:
To reach others for Christ through International, Domestic and Local missions.
•We support the Union Gospel Mission-Duluth: Serving alongside the people several times throughout the year and financial support as requested.
•Moose Lake Food Shelf-Financial Support as needed.
•Support of Samaritan's Purse Mission work in Alaska.
•Prayer and support of Traveling Angels Ministry which assists throughout the USA after floods, tornadoes, storm damage.
•Building relationships as we go back to the same area every year
•Teaching and Praying with the local women at the Dorcas Women's Conference (annually since 2004), Pignon Haiti
•Construction projects as needed (annually since 2004) in Pignon, Haiti
•Ministry in Medical Missions (annually since 2010) in Limbe, Haiti where we serve in mobile medical clinics. Most recent trip we served medically and prayed over 1283 patients.
•Sponsorship of several children for school in Pignon, Haiti through the Hosean International Ministries
•Teaching leaders and Pastors the ALPHA program to take into local prisons
•Teaching and supporting women in sewing
•Praying with many

Our Church also supports two people who grew up in our church and are now fulltime missionaries:
•Nathan Van Zee is on staff at Campus Outreach in Minneapolis, working with college age kids, sharing the gospel with them and discipling them.
•Jennifer Carlson is with Fire International, overseas in the Middle East, working with a team who has established a House of Prayer, School of Ministry and several house churches in the area, as well as sharing the gospel and working in refugee camps.
Covenant Supported Missionaries:
As part of the greater Evangelical Covenant Church, our church, along with other churches in the Lake Superior District of the Northwest Conference, support 5 Covenant Missionaries/families with our Responsible Shares. They are listed on the “covenant missionaries” page.
